Two minds are better than one. This gose is our collaboration with Chef Brad Carter, Michelin starred chef/owner of Carter’s of Moseley in Birmingham. We started with a base of unsalted British heritage grains that Chef uses in his dishes at Carter’s, giving us the backbone of this classic sour beer. We then added salt from ancient underground salt brines in Droitwich and a little citrusy magic from the wall woods of England, grand fir, for a stunning grapefruit aroma. This beer is a great start to any meal, any toast or just to simply enjoy on its own. The woods can be a dark place but here the beer brings a fresh, citrusy light. We hope you enjoy!

330ml bottle.
L: Hazy, watery yellow with a few streams of bubbles rising to a huge foaming head.
S: Wow! Very unusual and original. I’m getting some citrus, quite a lot of pine, but a whole lot of cucumber and courgette flower.
T: Almost citrusy but mainly soft herbs, fresh pine and flora. Excellent.
F: Light body, high carbonation, tangy, lightly acidic and very dry.
O: Compared to the two heavily fruited gose I tried prior to this one, this has a freshness and zip that I really like. The addition of grand fir, a variety of conifer I’d never heard of previously, delivers a strong herbal, zesty edge plus the salty tang is pitched just right. Super refreshing, unique and beautifully balanced. Really great.
