The world of dark lagers is a very diverse one, with flavours ranging from malty and sweet to dry with roasty, sharp edges. Our Black Lager is a compendium of all the styles we love: the rich creaminess of a Czech tmavy, the roasted malt edge of a classic Schwarzbier, the underlying hop character of a Franconian dunkel. It will remind you of a good stout, but the five weeks of lagering time also give this beer the smoothness and drinkability you would expect from the Braybrooke lagers. It’s the perfect partner to grilled meat.

330ml brown glass bottle.
L: Dark brown with hazelnut edging. The thick and creamy mocha-coloured head lasts and lasts.
S: Malty but very light.
T: Rich malt, some cocoa nibs and espresso sweetened with brown sugar. Not strong but very nicely balanced. The finish is both sweet and dry.
F: Medium body, creamy carbonation, smooth mouthfeel. Becomes bitter.
O: Smooth, extra tasty dark lager. No rough edges. Looks fantastic.
