Nyx: goddess of the night and daughter of Chaos.
Nyx was brewed with a myriad of specialty malts for a bready, toffee, and coffee-like profile. After fermentation, Nyx was blended with cold brew coffee from of our roastery at House of Funk. This coffee originated from Kochere, a small area within the well-known Yirgacheffe coffee-growing region of Ethiopia. The natural fermentation process of this coffee at origin brings out a sweet and balanced strawberry flavour, light orange zest, and a mild funk.

Can from the source.
A very dark brown with a thin, light brown head with good retention and lacing. The nose has a ton of coffee, loads, with a really nice blend of cocoa, dried blueberry and a little strawberry. The base porter plays second fiddle, with roast and bitter malts present. On the palate, the beer is bitter, roasty with bitter dark chocolate and a little burnt sugar before the coffee takes over. Potent with fruity notes, there's so much coffee that this even feels a little thin, like a coffee. A little caramel sweetness is present on the finish, complementing the coffee nicely. Medium-light in body and moderately carbonated. Solid.
