Looks: Pours clear golden yellow with a fizzy half-finger head.
Smells: Nice funky sour kick, somewhat tart but finishes smoothly. The quince contributes a bit of sweetness- it reminds me a bit of yellow Juicy Fruit gum, but more natural.
Taste: Again, perfect amount of funkiness and sourness. This is a blend of multiple foeder-aged golden sours, which shows in how tuned-in the sour base is. It really does taste "golden" in a way that's hard to describe- some pear and lemon rind show up after the initial pucker. The quince really rounds it out.
Feel: Light-medium body with a pleasant fizzy natural carbonation. Crisp finish.
Overall: Damn, this is really nice- best that I've tried in the "golden sour" subgenre. These guys know what they're doing with sours, for sure.
