Chilling out in The 'Zebo on a mild October day.... having a 16.9oz bottle ($12.00) in a trusted sniftah....
Pours a deep, dark, opaque brown. A hard pour brought forth a 1/4", creamy, mocha-hued layer of suds. It rapidly ebbed to a fine covering, with most at the rim. Lacing was on the light side. Aroma has lots of choco, both semisweet dark and also rich, sweet "Bosco"-like action. Plus a little toffee, mocha, and a hint of pear. It's smooth and silky on the tongue, with a medium to medium-plus body. Do wish it had more heft, though.
Taste is of yet more choco. Some semisweet but also some mild bitterness, and more toffee. Has a touch of prunes and raisins, with some subtle rum notes. Also getting a a smidge of smoky peat in the semi-dry finish. Very drinkable! Cheers!!
