Bottle from the Packie,
Dark brown color bordering on black with a thin smattering of tan foam on top. Huge banana and candied fruit aroma. Caramel, prune, and raisin flavor rounds this out. Light body and thin on carbonation but tasty.

From the 500 ml. bottle with no date shown. Sampled October 17, 2020.

It pours amber brown with ruby red highlights underneath a modest, fading tan head.

The aroma is alive with dark fruits, plum, raisins and a toasted dark malt sensation. I do not pick up any booze for an 11 percenter.

Smooth, medium mouthfeel.

In the taste, I think I pick up some of the booze I did not get on the nose. I also get a definite dark fruit sweetness but a warming after finish. It is within the parameters of the style.

Quaffing a 0.5l bottle procured from the brewery yesterday, at $12.00. Enjoying the contents on a lovely Fall day out in The 'Zebo....

Poured into a sniftah, it is an extremely dark brown color, opaque and dense. Has minimal head, mainly just some fine, light tan bubbles at the edges. Lacing, too, is on the light side. Aroma is of choco and dark fruit, like raisins and dates. Sort of like opening a box of raisinettes. Feel is very smooth, with hardly any prickle, and the body is medium to medium-plus.

Taste picks up where the nose left off. More very noticeable, tasty choco, then dark fruit. Raisins, plums, currants... nice!! Has a floral, fruity finish, and the ABV goes scarily undetected. Solid!!
