From an undated 475 ml. bottle sampled on April 24, 2022.
Attractive appearance of reddish-amber brown underneath a modest light tan head. Lacing.
The aroma is toffee malt forward, crackery, with cranberries, dried fruit and wood. Some licorice. Some clove.
Full mouthfeel. Smooth.
Sweet toffee malt forward taste with raisins. light fruit, and a semi-dry finale. Very nice all told.

First new beer of the New Year! From a 0.5l bottle purchased locally last summer, for $12.50....
Poured into a small sniftah, it is a rich, clear, dark golden color, with light carbo within. Head is off-white, and was initially sitting at 1/2" before a quick ebb. Still has a bit of fine froth, though mostly at the rim, with light lacing. Aroma has some bready, crackery malt, plus some light, green fruit notes. Feel is mostly smooth, with a medium/medium-plus body.
Taste is typically Tripel-ish... Again, it's lightly bready with green apple and pear. It's clean, crisp and dry, with hints of Belgian candi sugar in the finish. Really unsure what the Pinot Noir adds here, but it's still a tasty offering. Prosit!
