Rich dark chocolate, roast, vanilla and undertones of oak - we're releasing our Russian Imperial Stout, VieRIS, after aging for several months in an Old Elk bourbon barrel. Dangerously smooth.

Checking out a 0.5l bottle I recently snagged at the brewery, for $10.00...
It's jet black, like crude oil, with no hint of any highlights anywhere. Has a creamy, rich, deep tan head, lasting nicely. Lacing, though, is a bit on the light side. Aroma has some roasty notes, dark choco and hints of bourbon. Has a solid medium-plus body, and it's creamy and smooth.
Taste has plenty more dark choco and roasty action, plus a smidge of vanilla. Has a healthy amount of bourbon notes lingering pleasantly on the palate, with some floral hopping in the tasty finish. Very nice stuff, Daydreaming! Cheers!
