From a 16 fl. oz. can with no notable date but I sampled it on July 30, 2022.
The appearance is a mahogany amber with a modest tan head that fades to a ring and stays there. Some slight hints of red in the color too.
The aroma is all about toasted caramel and toffee malts, a little Belgian candied sugar, grapes, or a red wine, wood, and a tad musty. No alcohol is noted in the aroma.
High medium to nearly full mouthfeel.
This is aged in wine barrels and you can tell because there is a definite red grape or wine-like character merging with the sweet toasted malts. Crackery maybe. And it ends dry like a decent wine. Again, no booze is apparent in the flavor but it still feels strong.
