From a 0.5l bottle.... been sitting on this since some time in 2023....
Pours slightly hazy, with a deep, rich amber-mahogany color. Up top sits a thin, light tan layer of suds. Leaves a bit of lacing on the sniftah glass. Aroma has strong notes of rye, plus vanilla and some maple. Body is medium to medium-plus, with a fairly smooth feel overall.
Flavor has some subtle caramel and toffee, plus more spicy rye, maple and vanilla. Also has some lightly fruity action going on. Decent overall, though not malty enough, for me, to be a true English Barleywine. Cheers!
