Dark Beer! Malty, rich and packed with caramel notes. Scotch Ale spends a longer time in the brewing kettle allowing ‘kettle caramelization”. When this happens we are rewarded with a full-bodied and robust ale.

Dark reddish colour with a lot of floaties. Looks like hop sediment maybe? Nice finger plus of khaki head that is pillowy and soft.
Nose is lightly sweet. Creamy caramel, maybe a little bit floral. Maybe vaguely melanoidin-esque. Digging too much it does also get a little bit tinny like the can rubbed off on it or something.
Flavour leads in very sweet. Caramel/toffee/honey... somewhere in that range. It's rich and enjoyable. There's a spicy bitterness to the back end that carries noble connotations. It's warming without feeling at all hot. Rich body without feeling thick or cloying.
I like this one quite a bit.
