I grabbed this one from Chas Cole Cellarbrations in Geelong in February 2024, when Deeds Brewing Co. was still a thing, and finally got around to drinking it in October that year, despite the can urging me to drink it fresh...
L: The beer is golden, straw-coloured yellow in the glass, with a large, rocky head. Loads of carbonation fly up the glass.
S: The nose is a very expressive mix of coriander, clove and bubblegum.
T: The taste is intensely orange with coriander, rose water and a Belgiany yeast finish. It's zesty, refreshing and very drinkable. There is no hint of cloying sweetness that can burden some examples of the style (I'm looking at you, Hoegaarden!), and that means there's every chance I'd go back for a second can if I could.
M: This is the one aspect that lets this beer down. The body is relatively thin, and the dryness of the finish accentuates that thinness even more. Carbonation is minimal.
O: More evidence of our clown world where a brewery like Deeds can go out of business while multinational corporations producing unimaginative mass-market lagers go from strength to strength. Vale Deeds!
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
