Are you a Survivor Type? In other words, will you do whatever it takes? Whatever it takes to get the job done? Our job is to forcefully pack massive flavour into a little tin can. A little can that we want to immediately crack open.

Survivor Type represents our dedication to taking this job to the next level. Flaked and malted wheat alongside oat malt gives us a thick, creamy haze backed with a double digit ABV. The 40 IBUs are complemented by a 31 g/L dry-hop using two of our favourites, Galaxy and Motueka.

It’s a huge dry-hop, but we found a way. That’s because we believe in whatever it takes. May this be your desert island beer. Drink it and ask yourself again: Are you a Survivor Type? ◉ Hops: Motueka, Galaxy ◉ Dry Hop Intensity: 31g/L

Purchased from Chas Cole Cellarbrations in Geelong in May 2024 and drunk a few days later.

L: The beer sits thick in the glass with a bright neon-orange colour reminiscent of a setting sun. A fluffy, cm-high head sits atop the beer over a column of slow-bubbling carbonation.

S: This modern triple IPA's nose is a fruit basket of tropical aromas, with mango and cantaloupe as the leading picks. Additionally, there's a hint of spicy alcohol that warns of what's to come.

T: In the mouth, the tropical notes are slightly subdued by a dank, almost menthol spiciness, and a strong alcoholic note dominates during the swallow. The tropical fruits that are present lean towards orange and are covered with a chalky layer that overpowers their flavour before being engulfed by the spicy, alcoholic darkness that follows. This is definitely a Triple IPA; the alcohol content is unmistakable, and it begins to wear you down by the halfway mark.

M: The beer has a soft and slightly chalky texture. The body is thick and full, with minimal carbonation and carbonic prickle. The chalky note in the mouthfeel is the most prominent characteristic of this beer, likely caused by what is likely a very heavy hop load.

O: This beer is definitely a one-time thing. Its chalky texture and high alcohol content are not subtle, reminding you that you are drinking a heavily hopped Triple IPA. While it may be enjoyable at first, it's easy to get tired of it quickly.

Cheers!
