Purchased at Chas Cole Cellarbrations in May 2024 and a couple of weeks later.
L: Deep custard yellow with a bright white, cm-high, fluffy head. There is a lot of carbonation visible in the glass.
S: Big lemon meringue and lime notes boom out of the glass.
T: Zesty lemon notes leap from the beer, with bitter peel and tart juiciness quickly evident. In the end, there's a woody and herbal note that draws attention back to the bitter peel notes that kick in at the start. The finish is slightly tart and very refreshing. A citric sweetness lingers long after the swallow.
M: Mouthfeel is full and smooth. Carbonic prickle is minimal.
O: Nice and refreshing, but towards the end that citric sweet finish became a little cloying, and that dropped the overall mark down slightly.
Cheers!
