Down the cobbled streets, past the Kölner Dom, you find yourself walking by a weathered kneipe and you step in. Its busy and loud but you find a cosy corner.
"Ein Kölsch bitte"
You accept the stange, take a slow sip, leaving white froth on your upper lip.

Purchased at Ocean Grove Cellars in Ocean Grove (funnily enough) in January 2024. Drunk in August of that year.
L: The beer is a hazy, honey-gold yellow. It has a bright white, moussy head that lasts throughout the glass, and lots of small bubbles fairly rocket up the glass.
S: The smell is uncooked dough, white bread, and earthy and floral noble hops.
T: The beer is initially sweet in the mouth before the bitterness kicks in, with that last bit coming through a little fruity but ending earthy and strong and hanging around retronasally.
M: The mouthfeel is smooth, and carbonation is minimal and somewhat sherbety.
O: This is very nice. It's an easy-drinking Pilsner that warrants a second glass.
Cheers!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
