Red Baron is our interpretation of a German Altbier. It pours a coppery amber with an effervescent white head. Lightly toasted biscuit and a touch of fresh baked bread on the nose. A clean crisp body with firm bitterness makes this beer infinitely drinkable.

No evident canning date. Poured into a pint glass. It pours a hazy cola brown with orange hues, and sports a thick, frothy, ecru-colored had and thick lacing. A rather subdued nose with whiffs of caramel and biscuit. The taste opens with notes of dry biscuit and a touch of caramel. There is little bitterness but some herbal spice at the finish. Its' smooth and well-balanced. It has a pleasant mouth feel - moderate in body and carbonation - and the 5% ABV allows for easy drinking. Overall, it's nice to see a local brewer release an Altbier, particularly in cans. This would be a good beer to have on draught with a burger, cheese steak or sausage sandwich.

25.4 oz oil can crowler delivered by the brewery to my front steps.
Deep amber with reddish orange highlights. Brilliant clarity. Creamy off-white head that dissipates quickly.
Grainy malt aroma with lightly spicy hops and a firm fruitiness in the form of grapes. The flavor matches the aroma. Body is a little on the thin side, medium-light, but there is nice balance between the malt and hops here.
Solid attempt at an Altbier. It is well attenuated and easy drinking.
