A double dry hopped IPA that gives the sensation of wetting your lips with juicy tropical fruits. The nose bursts with tropical citrus fruits of pineapple, papaya and grapefruit zest. Just enough biscuity malt backs up the lip smacking tart grapefruit from the hops. As with all of our beers, balance makes you come back for more. Just try to keep you lips off this one!

This was given to me in a trade a few weeks back along with the All Together from Ashton and a few other beers. From the description on the can, this looked like a typical IPA although I would not consider to this to be a New England type. In the end, this was a balanced beer that was easy to drink with a well-hidden alcoholic presence while not breaking any new ground at the same time.
As I said before, this did not look like a New England IPA as it poured a clear, coppery red with a head that filled up the rest of my pint glass. Suds lingered near the top of my pint glass with a few thin rings below that with some spotty suds the rest of the way down. Lots of soap, metallic and earthy hops, and bright citrus in the nose as the taste followed suit. Bready and caramel malts underneath gave this body and a chewy mouthfeel without making this too heavy or doughy at the same time. Some tang from the grapefruit lingered in the aftertaste with a bit of tropical fruit keeping this even-keeled for the duration.
Very hard to detect the alcohol here as it was nicely hidden and the carbonation was light too as that allowed for the flavors to mesh and linger nicely. No date on the bottom of the can as this looked and tasted fresh, while checking off all of the proverbial boxes. IPA lovers won't be disappointed with this but there could have been a bit more to this to take it to the next level. As it was, it was a relaxing brew for this cool, summer night!
