Cellar Heller is our pale Bock finished with 100% Saphir hops which provide spicy notes and hints of tangerine and lemon citrus. The flavor boasts bread malt with a touch of honey character and a balanced slightly dry finish.

Poured from undated can into a tulip glass. It pours an almost clear, orange-amber color with a small, creamy, milk-white head and lacing. On the nose there is bready malt, caramel, earthy spice, and just a hint of tangerine. The taste is far fruitier than the nose and opens with tangerine, lemon, coriander, caramel, and a hint of honey; it's quite sweet. There is a decided spicy/bitterness at the finish. It's tangy. The mouth feel is lively and crisp and it has a nice pop from the 7.2% ABV. Overall, I commend Ashton for brewing - and canning - a Maibock. For a new brewery to can this style shows they care about the art of beer.
