Decent brett beer. 40% in foam gush last off the bat.

Pours a dark and murky, deep orange colour. A thick, three inch finger head appears and recedes into a half inch, dense cap of foam that lasts the rest of the beer.
There is a deep farmhouse funkiness to the aroma here, hay, moist wood, general farmhouse aromas. Great stuff. Spicy yeastiness esters bring about gentle aromas reminiscent of a Tripel. Some mild sourness on the nose as well.
While the taste has many of the flavours of the nose there is a noticeable departure. Nose may expect you to get a puckering, sour, astringent body, but that is not here at all. Instead you get a remarkably complex and wonderfully evolving beer. You are hit by a mix of very gentle sourness that intermingles with a doughy and yeasty profile. The sourness tossed around with a faint bitterness on the finish, that is also slightly sweet and bready. Some gentle spices, reminiscing of allspice and cloves.
Medium bodied beer, with decent carbonation that is not overwhelming, creates a nice foamy sip. It is somewhat dry but not particularly, with a long bittersweet finish that definitely leans sweet.
Meuse has been one of my favourite breweries, and this is an excellent offering. All of their beers are excellent, unfiltered beers made with local ingredients, many of which are grown on their own farm. This is sort of a mix between a strong Belgian Blonde ale, a Tripel, and Saisons, even beers with a sour edge.
Hopefully this gives the review more context in terms of the differing flavour profiles and aromas. While there is a mix of many flavours, it takes the best of all of them and intermingles them excellently. It’s hard to even describe how a gentle sour edge mixes with the sweet doughy flavours… but it does, and it works perfectly. What an excellent beer. I highly recommend getting it while you still can, as they brew an enormous amount of styles that are constantly being rotated out.
