2024 edition
Inspired by one of our favourite Trappist ales, Brux is a Brett Saison made with barley from our farm and bottle conditioned with brettanomyces bruxellensis yeast.
We decided to release this beer 6 weeks young in the bottle. This means the Brett character has just started to develop and allows us to go on a journey together with this beer as it develops and changes in character.
Right now it is tasting like a Belgian pale giving caramel dark fruit maltiness with a herbal spicy hop aroma and finish with mild Brett character. Allowing this beer to warm up a little in the glass brings up a fuller flavour.
We are excited to see how this beer develops over the next 3 months and continues to change over the next year.
84% Home grown grains (barley)
93% Canada grown grains

At my lady Pamela's house; bottled and chilled, 375mL in a pint glass. From Gastropub on Erie Street East in nearby downtown Windsor. My first beer from the Scotland, Ontario brewery.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
