Served from the tap in a balloon snifter (I guess?) at the Crushed by Giants brewpub.
Pours a dark midnight umber topped by half-finger of dirty camel foam. The nose comprises mild roast, light milk sugar, light cocoa powder, and the vague sense of slightly fruity sweetness (think one of those strawberry wafer cookies, just not necessarily strawberry, if you catch the drift I'm putting down). The taste brings in more of the same, the flavors seemingly canceling each other out as they pass over the tongue, creating a surprisingly bland flavor experience. Weird. The body is a stolid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a smooth feel. I'm not sure why this beer came across so unremarkable to me, but I guess it is what it is. Bit of a shame, considering the other aspects were pretty solid.
