Draft at the brewpub, 10 oz. pour in a mini nonic pint. Bright gold, visible carb trails, compact dense head of white foam, concentric rings of lace.
Aroma is interesting, toasted rice lends some depth, and a light hop note of Sorachi Ace gives it a somewhat exotic edge.
Taste is also unique with a light grainy flavor and a light coconut note from the Sorachi Ace. The hop varietal was confirmed by the bartender when I asked. Body is crisp and light, very lean and dry, but not sacrificing flavor. A solid version of a very obscure style.
