Hazy, dirty gold color. Impressive three-finger initial head. It settles in a lumpy fashion and leaves chunky foam on the glass.

Very good blend of soft pale malt and floral malt. Subsequent smells have a strong yeast presence.

This is less a west-coast IPA and more of a Belgian IPA because of the strength of the yeast bite. This keeps the malt from showing up. Above average body with a normal level of carbonation. The hop finishes the taste with a white pepper spice. The yeast, though, is the strongest flavor.

Beer pours with a generous white head, hazy and has a classic NWIPA yellow golden colour. Head retention and lacing are high. Carbonation is not spectacular. Aromas of stone fruit and tropical fruit are refreshing and bring a great summer like vibe. Apricot, peaches, passion fruit and citrus dominate. IPA de La Cote-Ouest has a moderate upfront bitterness that fades out once stone fruit and passion fruit flavors take control of the profile. Bitterness comes back and lingers in the aftertaste with notes of fruit pit. Body is rich, round and velvety. The beer is rather sweet and has a very mild alcohol warmth. Carbonation is on the low end of the spectrum. This well done IPA feels almost like a dessert and will pleased people in search of new flavors over strong bitterness.
