Copenhagen 11/1 2021. 50 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Green version of Maltgarden’s usual design with abstract paint strokes which brings reminisces of the eighties. They call this brew a “pastry sour”.
Pours unclear- almost hazy - golden yellow with a small, bubbly white head. Disappears after a few seconds. No lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a sweet fruity odor mingling with a prominent sourness. Sweet pear. Sour citrus and tart berries. Acerbic. Light carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly stronger tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry with a light touch of kiwi sweetness.
More sour than pastry. And it does fly.
