Maltgarden

Pours a hazy, bright orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and quite juicy hops, with tropical and lighter berry notes of passion fruit papaya and white grape. Taste is an excellent balance of rather light biscuity malt and quite vibrant and juicy hops, with strong, sweet tropical notes of passion fruit and papaya, distinct, slightly acidic berry notes of white grape and gooseberry and lighter, zesty citrus accents of grapefruit and lime peel. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness, mild hop burn and some passion fruit and white grape lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.

An excellent New England IPA with some really juicy and well-defined hops, I especially love the interplay of Enigma and Galaxy here with the passion fruit and white grape notes really standing out, as well as the overall balance of sweet tropical, acidic berry and zesty citrus notes, rounded out by a good bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel may not be great for the style, but is still rather nice, top-notch stuff from Poland, despite a mild hop burn in the aftertaste, which I personally don't really mind.
