Copenhagen 5/11 2021. 50 cl bottle from Mikkeller & Friends Bottle Shop, Torvehallerne, Kbh. K. Murky label in earth colors with white letters.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a small beige head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin, lonely patch of foam in the middle of the glass. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a malty, sweet odor mingling with a full candy shop. Sweet, dark malts. Brown sugar, syrup, waffles, vanilla and fruity wine gums. Some liqueur-like alcohol lurking beneath the sweet fumes.
Low carbonation. Thick, viscous, soft, flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate sourness. Aftertaste is sweet waffles. Lingering. Finish is sugary.
Overwhelming slice of a very sweet pastry orgy.
