Another bier I sampled at the Nürnberg Altstadfest on 27SEP08. A 0.4l glass cost 3.00EU.
With most places serving Pils, Helles und Dunkels, this Festbier caught my eye.
The glass brought to me held a clear, rich amber hued bier. Had scant carbo, and it was topped by a light tan head of about 1/4", creamy and fine. Some lacing left a mark in the glass. Nose was mild, with some caramel notes. Body was medium, and a bit choppy on the tongue.
Very light sweetness comes forth, with a touch of toast. Nice floral hops are called in for the late-inning save. Decent; not a killer by any means, but good.
