On tap at Agrotaberna de Monstruo de Agua in Mexico City, Mexico.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells fruity, with some vanilla, berry, fig, milk chocolate, and a touch of roast.
The fig is a big part of this, and definitely sweetens it up a bit. It teeters on the edge of “too” sweet – I definitely want a bit more roast or dark chocolate notes here. It’s still tasty, and probably best in smaller doses.
This is creamy, and pretty drinkable, with a smooth and sweet finish.
This didn’t quite fully work for me, but I can appreciate that it was done pretty well overall.
