Appearance: Pours a completely clear, deep amber color with a strong tan head. SRM of 16. (4.00)
Aroma: Strong brown bread, caramel milk, some light toasted, and Amber notes. (4.00)
Flavor: Strong flavors of brown bread, toasted notes, and Amber and spiced qualities. Toasted and spiced off the end. Relatively dry. (4.00)
Feel: Medium body, appropriate carbonation, finishes, toasted with light spice. (4.00)
Compared to Arbeiter Nacht Rider 3/25: Pours lighter, similar head. More caramel toasty and spiced. Less bitter cocoa and roasted.
Overall: First try at this. A nice offering for an altbier and to style. Well-done from Arbeiter as usual. (Rating: 3.95)
