L-Nice gold color, perfect white head....regal looking

S-Cloves up front and then some lighter hints of banana

T-Definitely clove forward but good...Has some sweeter banana on the back end....I prefer a little more banana but can't knock this....blends very well.

F-Can't knock it because the body and feel is spot on....seems balanced despite the lean toward cloves

O-I did this in a blind taster with Summit and Grimm Artisanal Ales Hefe and this clearly came out on top (and the other two were pretty good...think I scored Grimm pretty high actually). This is an underrated hefe that floats under the radar of many but is among the best being brewed in Minnesota these days.

16oz can, No dating information found.
Cloudy (as in unfiltered) pale gold colored body. Two fingers of fluffy, fine bubble, white colored head with the pour. The head lasts for a long time as a thin cap. Leaves behind horizontal rings and webs of lacing.
Aroma of tangy wheat malt, cloves, pencil eraser, and banana.
Taste is sweet and tangy from the wheat malts, with other flavors of initially cloves and then banana and citrus later on. Banana bread with spices in the aftertaste. Has a noticeable quick bitter bite later in the profile, and then the sweetness comes back.
More than medium mouthfeel. Slight tongue sting with each sip. Tangy dry finish. Excellent carbonation and glass presentation.
Very good initial impression, will have to revisit.

Appearance: Arrives with a cloudy goldenstraw color and a two finger head; decent retention and lacing action

Smell: Clove and wheat bread aromatics with a hint of banana

Taste: Wheat bread forward with clove tones building; just a hint of banana; all blends together, after the swallow

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with moderate to high carbonation

Overall: A decent hefe but could use more banana and less clove

On draft at Arbeiter. Poured a slightly cloudy, golden orange color with a small, white head of rocky foam. It left sudsy sheets of lace on the glass. It smelled of banana, clove, bubblegum and cracked wheat. Sweet bubblegum taste with banana, clove and spices.

Hazy, bright golden hue, healthy slab of ivory froth atop.
In the nose: Sweet and wheat. Citrus, banana, clove.

In the mouth: Slight sweetness kicks it off, with flavors of fruit and wheat. Exceptionally smooth and delightful. Banana/clove combo lurks just below the touch of citrus. Minor hops, major drinkability. Vanilla? (So, I peeked at their description before finishing my notes, so sue me.) Maybe. Yeah, sure. Exceptionally refreshing.
