Here's a well done lager that will appeal to a new craft beer drinker. Beautiful gold color, no head on my draft but some thin lacing down the glass. Aroma is pleasing but not inspiring. In the flavor arena this beer lacks a certain something. While it is clean and refreshing it lacks any semblance of a malt backbone. It's no macro lager but wish it had more to it to keep it more to the German lager category. Maybe it needs a bit more hop "bite". The Germans have a way of hopping a lager that doesn't knock you down with aroma but crisps everything up for a real clean beer. I suppose that would be the noble hops.
So certainly drinkable and at 5.2 abv sessionable. If you're at jamesport and you want a great beer with flavor go ESB !

Pouring at 4.0% ABV. This beer is put together right and ready for consumption. Pours a bright gold color, not copper, not straw. Head is small and carbonation is moderate, not overly fizzy, nice. Nose carries malt with it, not overpowering but very inviting. Nice malty flavor, crisp and quenching body, very little aftertaste. This is one very drinkable beer.
