Turning up the volume on this Serious Sour. Tart blackcurrants are backed up by citrusy lemon verbena. Wrapped in a sherbety mixed culture base.

Copenhagen 13/6 2021. 37,5 cl heavy glass bottle from Best of Beers web-shop. Vault City's usual design with the lattice gate in a purple and yellow version.
Pours murky burgundy with a huge pink head. Stable. Settles as 2 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Massive lacing.
Aroma is medium intense and a bit dampened by the massive amount of foam. Fresh, fruity sweet scent of berries mingling with tart citric odor. Sweet blackcurrant and blackberry. Lemon and gooseberries.
Light carbonation. Soft, smooth, silken, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger, tart sourness. Aftertaste is sour and subtle. Lingers for a bit. Finish is semi-dry.
Refreshing with the fruit up front. More flavored than sour - but in a nice and satisfying way.
