The new trends and precedents aren’t lost on the Broken Throne brewery. Hitting the ground running with these hazy trends, A taste of New England makes its way to Eastern Kentucky.
Suitably hazy and off turbid, Gollysnotcher crowns with a tall and frothy cap. A radiant and branch-ripe scent of tropical fruit, citrus and stone fruit swoon the nose before a nearly pastry-sweet taste of cereal, light caramel and honeysuckle lay a malty foundation.
As the bright and fruity ale rolls across the middle palate, its sweetness starts to relax and the tropical fruits of red grapefruit, tangerine and pep of lime carry into a tropical blend of mango, pineapple and passionfruit. Not to be left out, hints of apricot and peach trail into a smooth, herbal and spicy late palate as the bitter resins act more tea-like with hints of cedar and spruce.
Medium bodied and trending malty-dry, the juicy ale finishes crisp, clean and quite refreshing with virtually no flaws. A medium length aftertaste of fruit essence and herb.
