Another 'supermarket beer' here in Australia. By supermarket beer, I mean beers brewed by small independent breweries that have been subcontracted by the big supermarkets here in Australia. This is brewed by Tribe Breweries in Goulburn, NSW on behalf of Pinnacle Drinks, who are BWS/Danmurphys (owned by Woolworths). Honestly, the beers can be a little hit and miss, but mostly it's the big supermarkets trying to crack into the craft beer scene. I've done a couple of reviews so far on the subcontracted beers by Tribe, one's been decent, the other a miss. Let's see if they are competing well in the XPA market.
Look: Pours a lovely golden orange colour that's fairly hazy, with a good thick fingers worth of white head on top that looks like it's sticking around. Pretty well carbonated. Looks pretty solid thus far.
Smell: Strong orange peel, and mango notes, bit of passionfruit and maltiness coming through. Smells like a decent XPA
Taste: Strong on the orange, mango and passionfruit fronts. A little bit of lemon coming through at the back of the sip. Not overly bitter, and fairly sweet. Pretty decent.
Feel: 4.2%, so it's a little on the thin side, Quite carbonated, so it's highly drinkable. Would be able to put a 6 pack of these away with no issues. Good session ale tbh.
Overall: It's very decent. Not quite on the levels of your Balter XPA, but it's up there IMO with the Coopers XPA. Definitely worth a try if you can't find some of the Balter's. Would drink again.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
