True to the Warmer style this sendable ale is right for the Winter Season. Brewed with a Vienna base and a blend of dark Carmel malts and chocolate Rye. Late additions of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, and pomegranates. Conditioned with half pound of Vanilla Beans

A: Pours a clear medium to dark mahogany in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate garnet red + ruby red + chestnut brown + copper + cola brown colored highlights. The beer has a three finger tall sudsy foamy beige head that slowly reduces to a large patch of thin film covering the entire surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of winter spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove) over the top of moderate aromas of toasted + chocolate + caramel + spicy rye malts with light to moderate amounts of dark fruit (pomegranate) + caramel sweetness. Light aromas of earthy hops and hints of vanilla.

T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of toasted + chocolate + caramel + spicy rye malts with light to moderate amounts of dark fruit (pomegranate) + caramel sweetness. That is followed by light flavors of vanilla and slightly stronger than moderate flavors of winter spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove). Finally there are light flavors of earthy hops which impart a light amount of bitterness which fades away leaving light lingering flavors of winter spices.

M: Slightly heavier than medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation.

O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasant mouthfeel. Enjoyable old school classic winter warmer, something I have not come across much recently (unless they are beers that have been around for many years).
