Brauerei Johannes Hübner

My wife and I stumbled upon Hübner Bräu one Sunday while searching for another brewery. I can't remember if that was Dremel or not, but they are directly across the street from each other. As it happened to be around lunch time we decided to have something to eat. There's an outdoor seating area, and a little garden for children, but there was no one out there so it seemed best to head inside. The inside is open, airy, and light with a lot of windows (at least during the day). It looks as if it's either new, or has been fairly recently renovated. It's traitional with ceiling timbers, lots of wood, and some interesting chairs. The floor is tiled, which I kind of hate, but I understand that as it's easy to clean. The color theme seems to be light blue and wood in the main area, with red-checks in the secondary room. They brew 4 beers: amber lager, zwickel, 3-ear, and a helles bock for Lent. The food is somewhat limited but the meat plate we shared was of the highest quality, good-sized, and reasonably priced. Be advised, they're closed on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and their other hours are limited as well (Thurs.-Sat. 4 pm-10 pm, and Sundays from 11am-2pm then 4pm-10pm).

Entering, it is a German gasthaus, 1980s vintage. The vibe is evident and strong --positively influencing you. The menu is good and delicious. The beer menu is limited only by the brewer -- they sell what they brew. Great place to visit!

Note that they will fill your containers at the counter.
