My first Ferndale experience, due to the 'honey' in the name, which always slings me back towards HopSlam, a fabled brew.

Not hazy at all, the beer is a clear, clear yellow-orange with a bit of fizzy top. The nose is light, bright, & citrusy.

Oh, Honey is crisper than expected. Citrus, honey, apple with a tinge of NE Hop Sweetness greet the palate. The finish is very dry, sandpaper dry on the roof of my mouf. Sixteen ounces at a time seems appropriate.

Not the HS banger I was hoping for but a good, solid IPA.

16 ounce can into a tulip snifter. Canned 2/1/22, had 4/4/22.

Pours a bright, hazy yellow orange, with a one and a half inch head of creamy foam and lots of foamy lacing. A fine looking beer. Aromas of orange, some pineapple- mostly when colder, some grapefruit, honey as it warms, a little white grape. Has a floral aroma. Flavors of orange, grapefruit, malt, light pineapple- again , when colder, light honey. Has a light floral and herbal taste, with a little hop bitterness. Smooth, a solid lighter body, well carbonated.

This is a winner. The honey compliments the bright citrus nicely, and there’s a good malt backbone. Would definitely buy this again.

A - Pours a hazy orange with a creamy one finger head. Heavy amount of sticky lacing.

S - Aroma is heavy orange and floral honey.

T - The taste is orange, grapefruit, honey and light buttering hops.

M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with crisp finish.

O - Rock solid NEIPA. The honey adds a nice floral sweetness to the citrus.
