L- It pours curiously 'thick and silent'. As I ended the pour I raised the can 10-15Cm above the glass to encourage some head formation, yet still zero head, but zero noise or splashing too - odd; Twilight Zone. Super dark, effectively black, has a 1mm foam ring as it's head.
S- 'Roasty-toasty' plus a sweetness.
T- Coffee, richness, then milky lactose which builds into a transient cream-like richness. Toasty-roasty, deep dark cocoa beans, perhaps hints of smokey coffee into the finish.
F- Rich for sure, but it's not OTT sweet - and I do *not* like sweet facets in beer! So this one navigates the challenge I've had with a couple of other Milk Stouts, it's not over-sweet and I suspect it manages that as the Taste if seriously full-on pungent, hence brings balance.
O- Certainly different. A full-on black beer, seriously pungent Taste and depths. Not over-rich or sweet.
