Here at S43 we're big fans of NZ Hops, and what better to match Kiwi hops with than Kiwi Fruit? We put Wai-iti, Rakau, Moutere, Ekuanot with a shed load of Kiwi to make a unique beer that not only showcases the usual flavours from NZ Hops, but also has a little added sweetness from the Kiwi Fruit.

Pours a hazy, deep orange coloration with a huge, foamy, lasting head. Smells of biscuity, doughy malt and kiwi, as well as hints of citrus/tropical hops, with notes of grapefruit, lime and mango. Taste is a great balance of biscuity, doughy malt and fruity, grassy, slighty resinous hops, with citrus, tropical and lighter stone fruit notes of orange, lime, mango and apricot. as well as a distinct kiwi presence and just a hint of pine. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and acidity, with some kiwi, lime and mango lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice New Zealand Pale Ale that showcases the range of the NZ hops used beautifully, with some expressive, juicy and quite zesty citrus and lighter tropical notes, with just a hint of stone fruit and pine, while the added kiwi integrates itself very well into the flavor profile without feeling overbearing and adding a light sweetness to the bitter, zesty and slightly resinous hops. Overall, quite an ejoyable Pale Ale featuring a broad flavor profile that still drinks easy while finishing with a good bitterness and slight acidity, with a great mouthfeel for the style.
