Got this from Emma & Terry. Cheers!
From a 473ml can into a tulip
Double Stout with Chocolate and Lactose
APPEARANCE: Clear black pour yields a one finger, fizzy, crackly and noisy, looser tan head with lousy retention. Head quickly fizzes down to a light wisp and ring. Black body with no carbonation evident. Looks quite flat rather quickly.
SMELL: Roasted malts, pure chocolate, vanilla notes, some lactose sugar and touches of tobacco on the nose. Bold for sure.
TASTE: Roasted malts, tobacco flavors, some burnt and roasted flavors, with touches of vanilla and lactose at the swallow. Bold flavors, with a big finish of lactose sugar, vanilla, roasted flavors, tobacco, and some pure, bitter chocolate linger on the palate. Plenty flavorful with a decent hit of lactose sugar on this one.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Slightly light on the palate, a touch airy, goes down fine and finishes somewhat mouth-coating.
OVERALL: Solid stuff. One of the better Third Moon stout brews so far. A solid dark look with a bold nose and solid flavor profile. A more robust head and a creamier mouthfeel on this one would help, but it’s the main course of this brew is certainly nicely done. Would re-visit this one again in the future and recommend trying it out now if you get a chance. Cheers guys!

Boy this is a sweet and delicious treat, a perfect beer to enjoy for dessert after dinner.
A perfect winter beer as well to enjoy outside in the snow, physically distanced from those you love this will warm your heart with every sip.

Perhaps better suited for Hallowe’en this haunting Dec 2020 batch in a can has creepy artwork to set the mood. It’s a dreary day, lockdown is pending all around so what could be better? Pour into a pint glass this one casts a dark, thick as night charcoal pour with rich coffee collar that lasted for about 5 mins then settled into a CocaCola lace. Nose is alive enough with chocolate taking a soft back seat with slightly burnt oats at front. A fine coffee finish tops off the scent bouquet. Chocolate more centered upon first taste with well balanced body. Definitely sweet with a soda pop feel. Says to serve cold but I actually enjoyed it more as it warmed. Not quite as complex as I would have hoped for but for sure, one you want in your COVID crazed holiday season thus year. Here’s to not dying and enjoying many more moons to come!
