Got this from Emma & Terry. Cheers!
From a 473ml can into a tulip
Double Stout with Chocolate, Lactose & Hazelnuts
APPEARANCE: Clear black pour yields a one finger, fizzy, crackly and noisy, looser tan head with lousy retention. Head quickly fizzes down to a light wisp and ring. Black body with no carbonation evident. Looks quite flat rather quickly.
SMELL: Hazelnuts for sure, milk chocolate, vanilla cream, some roasted notes and lactose sugar on the nose. Hazelnuts are clear on this one.
TASTE: Hazelnuts up front, with some roasted malts, milk chocolate, vanilla cream and some tobacco at the swallow. Some decent lactose sugar as well. Bold finish of vanilla and lactose, milk chocolate, light tobacco notes and some definite roasted hazelnuts linger on the palate. Flavorful with enough lactose and hazelnut character.
PALATE: Medium body and medium levels of carbonation. Slightly light on the palate, a touch airy, goes down fine and finishes somewhat mouth-coating.
OVERALL: Good stuff all around. This is just as nice as the regular DDD and the hazelnut addition really works well. I’d say I enjoyed this one a touch more than the standard. Like the original, it lacks a good head and the mouthfeel could be creamier for the style. Still, well worth checking out if you get the chance. Thanks again guys!

Basically the same as the other and all still applies. Even nicer collar this time against dead of night black pour. Nose is burnt nut, light malts and cream. Actually think the nose on the other version was stronger. Chocolate smooth milk meets your at first sip followed by oats and malt. Very well developed body here with simmering cocoa. Either one well worth the money here. Great job Third moon.
