Copenhagen 30/7 2024. 47,3 cl can from The Beer Hive, Amagerbrogade, Kbh. S. Steel can with a red label with a fine drawing of a huge bird observing a house with small fearful face looking out of a window

Pours opaque hazy, golden yellow whiten a mid-sized white head. Stable- Settles as uneven lumpy layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.

Aroma is subtle and moderately intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruit with distinct citric notes and a whiff of pine. Pineapple and mango. Grapefruit. Resin.

Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is fairly intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. A bit sharp and searing. Lingering. Finish is dry.

A nice dry trip into the Pine forest.

Pours a opaque medium-hued orange with fluffy white foam above. Head tops out above three fingers. Aroma is a tropical fruit blend with notes of sticky evergreen forest sprinkled into the mix. Papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, and orange zest layer above and around resiny, herbaly, and light dank hops. Hops and hops through the nose. Flavor profile is more tropical fruits, which have a semi-astringent layer that breaks up the monotony of sugar stacked on sugar. Papaya, tangerine, grapefruit, and orange zest layer amongst resiny, and light grassy hops. Really shifts a gear towards sweet at the finish, as opposed the start - an interesting shift for a NE IPA. Mouth feel is medium in thickness with a fine crushed velvet texture that brings forward a very mild silty texture. Middle of the road, neither offensive, nor comforting, although it leans more towards the latter. Overall, incredible dense and jam packed with hops, without leaning solely sweet or bitter.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 473mL can.

Looks dark yellow on pouring but morphs into a light orange in the glass. Generous amounts of frothy, white head. Smells of tangerine and ripe stone fruits ooze from the glass, inviting you to take a sip. It has a full-bodied taste of tangerine, citrus with a resinous, dry finish. Mild puckering and dryness on the finish. Overall this is a decadent and layered beer that rewards the drinker with each sip. If you want a complex densely layered beer then this is your boy.
