BeerTown x Third Moon x Sawdust City.
This time round, the folks at BeerTown Public House have teamed up with Third Moon, Sawdust City, and their all-time favourite beer geeks (Terry & Emma) to bring you the second half of a killer collaboration - Lone Tree. Driven by our collective love for Bone Tree and Lone Pine, we've merged the hop bill of an East Coast IPA with the malt body of a West Coast IPA to create something truly nostalgic - with a new age twist. The beer is brewed exclusively with Citra hops and balanced out with a blend of malts for a unique and delicious collaboration.

On tap at Beer Town Oakville. Had a couple pints of this as it was good good enough to warrant that despite many other enticing options. Collab between Third Moon and Sawdust City. Review from notes. Cheers Brennan!

Appearance - Fairly golden as far as IPA's go. Bright yellowy gold with a finger plus of white head on top. A little haze and average retention.

Smell - Not the biggest nose, but good combo of pine, with a touch of sharp grapefruit and orange. Plenty of citrus afterwards.

Taste - Hop city. Pine, grapefruit, orange. Good intensity and bitterness, with a slightly sweeter fruity undercurrent. Nice collaboration. A little juicy too. ABV is very well hidden (although standard for the style).

Mouthfeel - Medium-full bodied, crisp carbonation and pretty easy to drink.

Overall - Very nice collaboration and one of the better IPA's of 2023. Well worth a try if you can find it anywhere.

Superior ipa on draft at the source.lllonggg hop finish. Very nice. Lone Tree with minor twist. One of the better hoppies and very drinkable, at this juncture.

16 ounce can from brewery. Had on tap a couple weeks back.
Pours a very slightly cloudy bright golden yellow with two plus fingers of puffy white head.
Aroma is initially quite a burst of citrus and piney hops, a touch floral with grainy pale malt in back.
Taste starts with sweet grainy cereal malt - soft citrus flavours, a bit of pine, a touch grassy with a gentle bitterness.
Medium body - lighter than expected - with decent carbonation - smooth and tasty and easy to put back. I would say on tap was certainly a more robust beer, can less so despite relative freshness.
