Got this from Terry & Emma last year. Thanks!
From a 375ml bottle into a snifter
Blend of 14 month Heaven & Hill BA imperial stout and 14 month Buffalo Trace English style barleywine.
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear black but yields no real head. Syrupy and oily on the pour. No head and looks flat.
SMELL: Lots of barrel aroma, with milk chocolate, vanilla cream, oak aromas, some roasted notes and plenty of bourbon on the nose. Enticing.
TASTE: Lots of booze and barrel up front, with oak, milk chocolate and vanilla cream on the swallow. Bold finish of roasted barely, bitter chocolate, coffee flavors, sweet bourbon, oak, and vanilla linger on the palate. Plenty barrel forward and a solid, roasted base.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body and medium carbonation. Not quite as creamy as hoped, a bit prickly on the palate, goes down okay, a bit of a burn, and finishes quite sticky. Some solid heat lingers.
OVERALL: Lovely stuff. Nice barrel flavors and a solid base beer to boot. The feel could be a little creamier for top marks, and a proper head would be pleasing, but these are minor complains in the grand scheme of things. Good beer and very enjoyable. Highly recommended. Cheers!

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout/barleywine blend with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some light lacing notes. Aroma of chocolate notes with caramelized malt notes with some really nice bourbon woody notes. Taste is also a mix of chocolate notes with some caramelized malt with some really nice bourbon notes with some woody notes and a sweet finale. Body is full with oily texture and good carbonation with some discernible alcohol notes. Nice barrel-aged blend with some good bourbon barrels notes.

This original blend was the best, and it was innovative, tasty, and a dangerous drinker. Such a revelation made it stand out to rate and make a fuss over.
