Got this from Terry & Emma this past summer. Cheers!
From a 473ml can into a tulip
Double stout with Brazil Natural yellow catuai coffee
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear black and yields a one finger, looser, fizzy, light tan head with solid retention. Head fizzes down to a fain wisp and ring. Black body with no real carbonation evident. A solid ring remains leaving no real lacing as it finishes.
SMELL: Lots of roasted coffee, roasted malts, and some milk chocolate on the nose. Notes of toffee, caramel and chocolate brownies as well. Really coffee forward though.
TASTE: Roasted malts, with plenty of roasted coffee flavors, and some milk chocolate and caramel at the swallow. A nice touch of brownies hints of vanilla cream, moving into a bold finish of chocolate, roasted coffee, caramel sweetness, and some candy sweetness lingering on the palate. Bold and flavorful.
PALATE: Medium body and medium carbonation. Creamy enough on the palate, goes down fine smooth and finishes a touch mouth-coating. Some bitterness lingers. Solid feel.
OVERALL: Solid stuff, and a little more candy-like than the Ethiopian version. The rest of the experience fits the bill just the same, except the head retention on this one is much improved. If you like coffee double stouts, this will definitely do the trick. Thanks again guys!

Somewhat on the sweeter side of the series, Coffee understated element and made even more so by the vanilla edition. Less of a pastry stout, please next.
