Looks and smells good, but man, this is a straight up sugar bomb. Painfully sweet, but rescued in some measure by a very pleasant lingering aftertaste of coffee. The beer is clearly well made, but a bit extreme. Suitable for dessert. At 11+ % make sure you leave yourself some time to linger in your chair.

Got this from Terry & Emma. Cheers!
From a 473ml can into a tulip
Imperial stout with Cream Eggs and Chocolate
APPEARANCE: Pours out clear black and yields a small, fizzy, dark tan head with poor retention. Head fizzes away to a faint wisp. Black body with no carbonation evident. Quickly looks rather flat.
SMELL: Bold nose with roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee aromas, with vanilla cream and some eggnog in there as well. Good stuff.
TASTE: Roasted malts, vanilla cream, eggnog, chocolate flavors and some bitter coffee at the swallow. Bold and flavorful. Bold finish is very roasted, plenty of bitter chocolate flavors, some bitter coffee, as well as some eggnog and a touch of alcohol linger on the palate. Bold and flavorful, with plenty of roasted flavors.
PALATE: Medium-fuller body with medium levels of carbonation. Creamy on the palate, slightly silky, goes down smooth with a bit of a bite at the end, finishing somewhat mouth-coating. A touch of heat lingers.
OVERALL: Really good stuff. This Bestowed series has been enjoyable so far, and this one fits right in. Good look on it, a bold and enticing nose, plenty flavorful, and a solid feel to support it all. If you’re a fan of Third Moon, which I certainly am, check this one out if you get the chance. Thanks again, guys! Recommended.
