A steady pour released a finger of white soapy foam that slowly turns rocky with large blotches of lacing. Cloudy and semi-opaque pineapple juice color.
Bold smell of piney and citrus (lemon & orange) hops supported by bready and crackery malt, these follow to the taste.
Neutral on the sweet/dry with below average bitterness, balanced and even throughout the drink. Pineapple, grapefruit and grape flavors are added without being too juicy. A slight drying astringency lengthens the finish, fruit flavor from the hops and rising bitterness (now a bit above average) lingers a while.
Medium-light bodied with soft and lasting carbonation, I have to mention how well balanced it is again. Alcohol is noticeable, more so as it warms. Smooth and almost session-able, a solid closer for the evening. Canned on 11/13/20.
