A slow, even pour released two fat fingers of soapy/creamy off-white foam with very long retention and spots of lacing.
Orange-dark straw body is cloudy and was turbid at the pour, pale orange in front of bright light.
Piney hops and crackery malt greet the nose; bread and dough, toast and citrus hops in the background. Alcohol is faint, just a hint of astringency.
Semi-dry with above average bitterness, as in the smell piney hops are ahead of citrus with soft, bready malt and cracker. A faint hint of citrus fruit is controlled by a pine/resin bite. Bitterness builds quickly, this one is almost at Brut level dryness at the prolonged finish. An expected and enjoyable spicy/bitter/dry hop bite lingers a long time.
Medium light bodied with soft, lasting carbonation. Smooth and almost session-able, warms well and the head returns with an easy swirl. Turbid like a NEIPA, the rest is all West Coast.
