Our 9% Imperial Stout aged in a Chocolate Bourbon barrel. This was the first beer brewed at Beer District Brewing and we filled one barrel specially for our 1st Anniversary.

Layered aroma leads to pretty much a straight black licorice taste. Nice rich and dark dark brown to black color with a decent lacing. A drying aftertaste that was nice after the black licorice subsided.
