Pours a lovely golden color with a moderately sized slightly off-white head. A bit of lacing as the beer is enjoyed. Taste is malty with hops forward. Enjoyable!

Dark golden yellow with a small and somewhat disappointing white head.
Smells very malty and sweet, like marshmallow almost, with a soft grainy touch, an earthy note, a little hops, a fruity, apple-like note and a clear whiff of sharp alcohol.
The taste is full and heavy, with the malt present in a spicy way and the hops a bit more upfront in comparison to the nose. The candyish sweetness returns in the finish, but makes way just in time for a spicy and slightly hoppy after-taste. Too bad the bitterness turns coarse and astringent, too much "earthiness" and not a nice way to finish. Alcohol burn is quite strong.
Smooth mouthfeel with a chewy body and slightly low on carbonation.
